A quirky film with a capital ‘Q’ set in the surreal scenery of Iceland, where an Amazonian middle-aged choir-mistress takes on the terrain, politicians and the captains of heavy industry, with a long bow and circular saw. The acting is genuine, the cause urgent and the heroine tough and committed, but caring.
This is an intoxicating tale of wilful sabotage with an unexpected turn at every corner, clever writing and a novel way of dealing with a creative sound score.
For those that enjoy the slightly odd with meaning, this film is delightful with a dark edge – everything in the ominous shadow of climate change.
