Ian Cochrane is a writer calling Melbourne home, a member of the Australian Society of Authors and an itinerant traveler. He is the editor of TravelnRavel – a wandering bird’s-eye overview of most things even vaguely related to travel.
Wanderlust lured him to Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, while work has taken him to India, Africa, the Australian outback, Korea, and the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
Ian launched his first book – Indian Summers: Mumbai and Beyond, a collection of 13 tales on the paradox of modern India – to critical acclaim in 2011. Find it here as p-book or e-book, or throughout Australia and New Zealand via Dennis Jones & Associates.
Ian’s Australian Outback short story `A Splendid Memory’ is included among the non-fiction 2013 Cowley Literary Award finalists, and he has penned several tabloid travel and food features.
In addition to ongoing blog commitments, he is currently working on a great Australia roadtrip, further collections of short stories, and a novel.
