Welcome to The Badlands – a latenight lullaby

Welcome to The Badlands – a latenight lullaby

by Ian Cochrane | Mar 12, 2018 | Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Utopia

The Lion King – wandering ways (Skeleton Coast, Namibia)

by Ian Cochrane | Mar 23, 2014 | Africa

To all those past readers out there, thank you for your comments over the past five years, however it is now time for a change which means a new site with the old visitors' counter unfortunately reset to zero.

For the record, since first going live back in March 2013, there has been about 24,000 visits - 4% from AFRICA, 49% from the AMERICAS, 9% from ASIA, 16% from EUROPE, 22% from OCEANIA... this new site going live in February 2018.

So… thanks again, it has been a treat to have such an eclectic group of readers from all over the globe, from such diverse and distant lands including Guam and Greenland, Barbados, Cote D'Ivoire and Azerbaijan.

Ian’s writing has been described as –

“… observational and anecdotal, his vignettes illuminated by the assorted zany characters he meets. Anyone with an open mind and a sense of humour, will find resonance in Cochrane’s adventures.”

– Susan Kurosawa, travel editor, The Australian
